Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship Based on Psalm 36
All: Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains and your justice like the oceans deep. O Lord, you preserve all of creation. How priceless is your unfailing love!
Opening Hymn “Love Divine, All Loves…” #376
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1
Prayer of Confession and Reconciliation
Pastor: If we refuse to admit our mistakes we are only fooling ourselves. If we acknowledge our shortcomings to God, then God will forgive us and help us to live up to our potential.
All: Merciful God, we confess that we are held captive by sin and we cannot free ourselves. We spend a lot of time looking out for our own needs and ignoring the needs of others. We live lives that are less than what we were created for. We ask that you would forgive us, renew us and lead us.
Now for private time with God.
Pastor: Through Jesus Christ we are forgiven all our sin and by God’s Holy Spirit we are empowered for new life.
All: We believe the good news of Jesus Christ.
Congregational Response “Amazing Grace”
The Reading of God’s Word John 2:1-11
Pastor: The word of God for the people of God.
Congregation: Thanks be to God.
Sermon by Pastor Bill
Quiet Time of Reflection
A Statement of Our Faith Based on Psalm 23 – Psalms Now
Pastor: The Lord is my constant companion. There is no need that God cannot fulfill. Whether I am on the mountain top of glory or in the valley of suffering.
Congregation: God is by my side and with me every step of the way.
Pastor: God is close beside me when I walk the dark streets of danger and even when I flirt with death itself.
Congregation: When the pain is severe, God is near to comfort.
Pastor: When the burden is heavy, God is near to lean upon.
Congregation: When depression darkens my soul, God touches me with eternal joy.
All: My security is in God’s promise to always be near to me and God’s promise that he will never let me go.

Closing Hymn “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing”
May the blessing of God Almighty; the Creator, the Redeemer and the Sanctifier be with us all. May we be equipped with everything good that we may do God’s will. May God’s Holy Spirit work in us that we may live lives that are pleasing in God’s sight. Amen.
